NIGC to Offer Game Machine Training in New Mexico

Washington, DC, February 22, 2011 — The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) is offering "Regulating Gaming Technology" training on March 15-17, 2011 at the Ohkay Casino Resort in Ohkay Owingeh, New Mexico.

This comprehensive 3-day training will not only reflect regional needs, but also incorporate front-line regulatory input on a subject like gaming technology that is always evolving.

“Given the challenge of reaching as many tribal regulators as we can while simultaneously evolving the training to make sure that we reached our core audience of Tribal Regulators, this specialized training course ensures we meet tribal needs plus provides a thorough session of electronic gaming machines, class II gaming systems and technical standards, strategies and resources to regulate gaming technology and gaming forensics” states NIGC Chairwoman Tracie Stevens.

All tribal leaders, tribal gaming regulatory authorities and casino compliance personnel are encouraged to attend to gain a better understanding of gaming technologies needed to effectively regulate technology on the casino floor. A course agenda can be found at www.nigc.gov.

Registration and additional information is available at www.nigc.gov.
