A system of records is group of records under the control of the agency from which information about individuals is retrieved by name of the individual or some identifier assigned to the individual. The Privacy Act requires federal agencies to publish a notice in the Federal Register for each system of records that an agency maintains. The notice, known as System of Records Notice (SORN), informs the public of the purpose of the system, and other details about the system.
The NIGC has published a SORN for the following systems of records:

The NIGC also adopts, as appropriate, published and available Government-wide SORNs | FPC.gov.
Privacy Impact Assessments
As required by the E-Government Act of 2002, a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) is an analysis of how personally identifiable information about the public is collected, used, shared, and maintained in an electronic system. The purpose of a PIA is to demonstrate that an agency has consciously incorporated privacy protections in developing and managing its applicable information technology systems.
