Beginning January 2013 all federal agencies are required to prepare quarterly FOIA reports each fiscal year that include detailed statistics on the number and disposition of FOIA requests and appeals received, processed, and pending. This more frequent reporting is designed to increase accountability and enhance public awareness of agencies’ efforts in administering the FOIA. This section includes the NIGC’s quarterly FOIA reports.
