Deputy Assistant Chief Compliance Officer
Raymond Campbell
Raymond Campbell is the Deputy Assistant Chief Compliance Officer at the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC). As the Deputy Assistant, he will monitor compliance of tribal gaming operations in accordance with the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), NIGC Regulations and Commission directives.
Campbell joined NIGC as Deputy Assistant in March 2023. Campbell spent the previous 6 years with NIGC as a Compliance Officer in the NIGC’s Oklahoma City Region. He has assisted NIGC ensuring tribal compliance with IGRA and by providing technical assistance and training to numerous tribes and tribal gaming regulatory authorities. Prior to NIGC, Campbell worked as an attorney representing tribal clients in the areas of tribal sovereignty, governance and gaming.
Campbell is a graduate of Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University where he received Juris Doctor certificates in both the Indian Law and Law, Science and Technology programs. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Oklahoma.

The Indian Gaming Regulatory Act created the National Indian Gaming Commission to support tribal self-sufficiency and the integrity of Indian gaming. NIGC oversees the efficient regulation of more than 500 gaming establishments operated by 250 tribes across 29 states.
