DESCRIPTION:NIGC April NTTM: NIGC Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) 2025 Update \nDate: April 10\, 2025 | Time: 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. EDT\nPresenter: Steve Steiner\, Deputy Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Officer\, CJIS Audit Unit (CAU)\, Division of Technology\, National Indian Gaming Commission \nRegister Here! \nSession Description: \nJoin staff from the NIGC Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Audit Unit (CAU) for a current discussion status of NIGC CJIS Resource Materials in response to the CJIS Security Policy (CJISSECPOL) Modernization\, the CAU fiscal year 2025 audit plan and for a review of Criminal History Record Information (CHRI)\, NIGC Bulletin No. 2022-3 and the 2023 final rules for 25 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 502 as it relates to CJIS compliance. \nThe NIGC CJIS CAU is responsible for the implementation of the NIGC’s external and internal compliance strategies to achieve and demonstrate compliance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and NIGC concerning Noncriminal Justice Fingerprint Submissions. CAU staff deliver trainings\, technical assistance\, and conduct selective audits/investigations of those tribes with an executed\, suspended\, or terminated MOU with the NIGC regarding CHRI. \nOutcome:\nAttendees will have the opportunity to participate in a discussion with CAU staff for a current discussion status of NIGC CJIS Resource Materials in response to the CJIS Security Policy (CJISSECPOL) Modernization\, the CAU fiscal year 2025 audit plan and for a review of Criminal History Record Information (CHRI)\, NIGC Bulletin No. 2022-3 and the 2023 final rules for 25 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 502 as it relates to CJIS compliance.
